2010-11 Cell Curriculum Options
NES will be going through the Gospel of John over the course of the next year. We will be studying the book on Sunday mornings for two reasons: 1) to get to know Jesus better; and 2) Parents: we want to partner with you as you lead and disciple your student in the wisdom and knowledge of the Lord. As a result, we are going through the same book that Sunday Morning Adults have been going through, that way you can be intentional about the conversations you have with your student about what they are learning in cell group, as you have been studying this book and at any time can go back and listen to any podcast on the Gospel of John. We look forward to partnering with parents more, and hopefully this connects our ministry with the adult congregation at Fellowship, even in a small way such as this.
We will be giving out “Connect Sheets” or nes2go as we call it, to the students on Sunday mornings. They will be put on the website the week before for cell leaders to look through. This is one option of Cell Curriculum.
The other option for Cell Group Curriculum is Transformed. This material is an option to break down the masks that so many of us wear when we come into our “church” world and leave the “real” world. We want to destroy that mask and be real and authentic with each other as fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. This curriculum is designed to aid in that destruction process.
These are the two options for cell group curriculum for the year. Please let us staff know if you are planning on doing something else. We encourage you to tailor everything you do to your students because you know them better than we do. This material is designed to help our students be authentic with each other and grow in their knowledge of the Lord and their ability to study and know the Lord.
